About Me

Hi, my name is Max Kretzschmar. Football has always been a huge part of my life. Like so many, I was a young, energetic child who was kicking a ball around in the garden as soon as I could walk. But it was only when I nervously turned up to a trial for my local side Molesey Juniors aged 7, that football became serious for me. From then onwards, I knew playing football was what I wanted to do.

Where it all started: Molesey Juniors

I went on to play academy football for five years at Southampton FC, complete a scholarship at Wycombe Wanderers which culminated in achieving any young boy’s dream: becoming a professional footballer.

Since then, I’ve played for Woking and Hampton&Richmond, lost two playoff-finals (one at Wembley!) and won one. In addition, I am a football coach for schools and clubs across Surrey and studying Professional Sportswriting and Broadcasting Ba (Hons) at Staffordshire University.
